Shane Layton began his Bujinkan training in 1985 with Jaime Garcia and Darren Tanner in Lubbock Texas. In May of 2005 Shane passed the Godan test at the Bujinkan Hombu dôjô and is a licensed Shidôshi (instructor).

Lee Drew is the founder of the Birmingham Bujinkan Dojo. Lee has over 20 years of experience in the Bujinkan, plus experience in other martial arts. Lee currently is ranked as a yondan (4th degree black belt).
