All that is required is an open and willing mind and a good attitude. In the beginning you are not required to wear a training uniform (dogi) in class.
All students ranked green belt above are required to be a member of the Bujinkan Dojo and obtain a card from the Hombu. This is done through the instructors, and is an annual requirement from the Hombu. Additionally, green belts and above are encouraged to wear a black dogi in class with appropriate rank belt and patch.
